How To Download YouTube Videos on iPhone?
That is the question every iPhone and iPad user has in his/her mind at some point of time. And that is because who would like to spend mobile data to watch the same video; every time they want to watch it. If that they have those YouTube videos on iPhone or iPad they can simply watch it as and when wanted. And they need not to worry about having less internet connectivity in train while they commute. And one more advantage of having YouTube videos on iPhone and watching them offline is; lot of battery life saving. This is because watching a video online and offline is entirely different thing when it comes to battery usage. You could probably save at least 40% or more battery life by having the video downloaded on your iPhone.
So, how to get the YouTube videos on iPhone or iPad. (This is something which is applicable only to jail-broken iPhone and iPads which have Cydia installed. If your iPhone is not jail-broken you will not be able to go ahead with this..Sorry)
- Open your Cydia on iPhone and search for "Chrome Downloader Plus"; download it on your device.
- Now open YouTube in your chrome browser on your iPhone/iPad.
- Open the video which you want to download.
- You will see a little knob at the bottom of your iPhone (iPad) screen.
- When you tap that knob it will ask for your preferred video resolution for downloading. You can select it and the video will start downloading at your selected destination. (it will ask you for the destination)
- Now, to reach to your downloaded YouTube videos on iPhone or iPad; tap the "three bars" icon showing on the top part of your browser. This is just near web url entry bar.
- This will take you to a tab "Download Manager"; where all your downloaded videos should be present.
It is not free anymore in iOS 7.0.6 jailbroken version as the free version does not work there and it still needs the paid tweaks in order to function properly.
